Self-aligning ball bearings are bearings with spherical balls between the inner ring with two raceways and the outer ring with a spherical raceway.

The center of curvature of the outer ring raceway surface is consistent with the center of the bearing, so it has the same self-aligning function as the automatic self-aligning ball bearing. When the shaft and the housing are bent, they can be adjusted automatically without increasing the burden on the bearing. Self-aligning roller bearings can withstand radial loads and axial loads in two directions. They have a large radial load capacity and are suitable for heavy loads and impact loads. Bearings with a tapered bore on the inner ring can be installed directly. Or use a tight sleeve or a disassembly cylinder to install on a cylindrical shaft. The cage uses a steel plate stamping cage, a polyamide formed cage, and a copper alloy machined cage.

Self-aligning ball bearings have two structures: cylindrical bore and tapered bore. The cage is made of steel plate, synthetic resin, etc. Its characteristics are that the outer ring raceway is spherical and has automatic self-aligning properties. It can compensate for the errors caused by non-concentricity and shaft deflection, but the relative inclination of the inner and outer rings shall not exceed 3 degrees.

It can withstand large radial loads and certain axial loads. The outer ring raceway of this type of bearing is spherical, so it has self-aligning properties. When the shaft is bent or tilted by force and the relative inclination of the inner ring centerline and the outer ring centerline does not exceed 1° to 2.5°, the bearing can still work.

The inner hole of the self-aligning ball bearing is cylindrical and conical. The taper of the conical inner hole is 1:12 or 1:30. In order to enhance the lubrication performance of the bearing, an annular oil groove and three oil holes are machined on the outer ring of the bearing.

The axial displacement of the shaft (housing) is limited within the clearance limit, and it has automatic self-aligning performance, allowing normal operation under the condition that the inner and outer peripheries are not relatively tilted. It is suitable for components where the bearing seat holes cannot strictly guarantee coaxiality.

Structural form

The self-aligning ball bearing with dust cover and sealing ring has been filled with an appropriate amount of grease during assembly. It should not be heated or cleaned before installation. No lubrication is required during use. It is suitable for operating temperatures between -30 ℃ and +120 ℃.
