What’s the differences between CA, CC and MB spherical roller bearings?

The types of spherical roller bearings are differentiated according to their cages, mainly including CA, CC and MB. The main structural differences between these types are reflected in the design of the inner ring and the material and form of the cage.

The CA type spherical roller bearing is characterized by its one-piece brass cage, which is machined. Its inner ring has no intermediate ribs, but has two small ribs on the end faces, and the rollers are symmetrically designed.

The design of CC bearings is more compact than that of CA bearings, and they occupy less space inside the bearings. Therefore, by increasing the number of rolling elements and adjusting their outer dimensions, the radial load capacity of the bearings can be increased to a certain extent. This also means that CC bearings can withstand greater axial loads than CA bearings.

As for MB spherical roller bearings, their inner rings are provided with two fixed ribs, and they adopt asymmetric spherical rollers and a fixed middle rib design on the inner ring. Bearings of this structure can achieve pure rolling motion and are particularly suitable for operation under high-speed conditions.
