When cleaning, pay attention to the following points:

(1) First remove the old oil in the bearing, then use a brush or cloth dipped in gasoline or kerosene to clean the bearing, at least twice, and also clean the bearing cover and wipe it dry.

(2) Do not rotate the bearing during cleaning to prevent debris from being pressed into the bearing raceway.

(3) Bearings that have been cleaned with kerosene should be cleaned with gasoline again. Because kerosene contains a lot of water, use gasoline to flush away the remaining water on the bearing to prevent rust.

(4) The cleaned bearings should be wiped dry with a clean cloth. Do not wipe with cotton yarn to prevent fluff from falling into the bearing. At the same time, do not touch the bearing with your hands to prevent the bearing from being stained with sweat and rusting. The cleaned bearings can be placed on a clean wooden board or paper to allow the residual gasoline or kerosene to evaporate.

(5) If there is no obvious shaking and no peeling of the ball surface after washing and drying the bearing, add pure lubricating oil as required and put it back into use.How to clean bearings?

Maintenance is best performed regularly according to the operating standards of the corresponding mechanical operating conditions. The content includes monitoring the operating status, replenishing or replacing lubricants, and regular disassembly inspections. As maintenance items during operation, there are the rotation sound, vibration, temperature, and lubricant status of the bearings.

When disassembling the bearing for inspection, first record the appearance of the bearing, confirm the remaining amount of lubricant, sample the lubricant used for inspection, and then wash the bearing. As a cleaning agent, gasoline and kerosene are generally used.

The cleaning of the disassembled bearing is divided into rough cleaning and fine cleaning. Put them in containers separately, and put a metal mesh pad at the bottom first to prevent the bearing from directly contacting the dirt in the container. During rough cleaning, if the bearing is rotated with dirt, it will damage the rolling surface of the bearing, so it should be paid attention to. In the coarse cleaning oil, use a brush to remove grease and adhesives. After it is roughly clean, proceed to fine cleaning.

Fine cleaning is to carefully clean the bearing while rotating it in the cleaning oil. In addition, the cleaning oil should also be kept clean at all times.

Bearing inspection and judgment: In order to determine whether the disassembled bearing can be used, it should be checked after the bearing is cleaned. Check the state of the raceway surface, rolling surface, matching surface, wear of the cage, increase in bearing clearance, and damage and abnormalities that are not related to the reduction of dimensional accuracy. For non-separable small ball bearings, use one hand to support the inner ring horizontally and rotate the outer ring to confirm whether it is smooth.

For separable bearings such as tapered roller bearings, the rolling element and the raceway surface of the outer ring can be checked separately.

Because large bearings cannot be rotated by hand, pay attention to checking the appearance of the rolling element, raceway surface, cage, flange surface, etc. The more important the bearing is, the more careful the inspection must be.
